September is National Stamping Month! How great is that? It’s also Jeannette Lynton’s 30th anniversary in the stamping and scrapbooking industry!! That is an amazing accomplishment for anyone to achieve! I am so grateful every day for my Close To My Heart business. For 22 years I’ve been creative, inspired, challenged and fulfilled. I could go on and on about the blessings of Close To My Heart, but that’s not what you’re here for!! Let’s get started!
Back when I was a D.O.T.S. demonstrator we had a very popular stamp set called a “Super Set”. It was 30 little wood mounted stamps that you could use for “oh so many little things”! I don’t have a photo (sad) but I totally remember how fun it was. The #30 Years of Happy is sorta like that set. It’s 30 little individual stamps that you can use for “oh so many little things”. However, I wanted to show another way to use the set. The technique is called “stamping off the block”. All I did was turn the carrier sheet over and ink all the stamps at once. Then I carefully flipped it over and stamped all the images at one time until I filled a whole page of white daisy! Now – I was ready to create!
I created a two page layout using the Chalk it Up Picture My Life cards! The background paper is my stamped images from #30 Years of Happy. I used the new Flaxen ink to create the design. I layered the Chalk it Up papers on top of black card stock and cut the cute banner in lagoon from the Art Philosophy cartridge. I embellished with a few of the Chalk it Up dimensional elements. I love how it turned out! I’ll be taking photos this weekend of my happy, funny girls so this layout will have some darling photos to show off!
Now you should HOP on over to the sweet and artsy Margi. You’ll love her #30 Days of Happy!
